The Neuresthetics Genius Study card image (img/short-study-faces.jpg) is a collage of 285 portraits of people on the study's roster (core status), taken from Wikimedia Commons. Every file is public domain or under a free license, as listed below. Each portrait was cropped to the face, toned sepia and resized; the far crowd repeats these portraits (some mirrored) and adds simple silhouettes, for 1,380 figures in total, the size of the study's roster (data/roster/roster.csv in neuresthetics_genius_study).

Licenses: CC BY and CC BY-SA files are used under those licenses with the attribution given here; the collage as a whole is shared under CC BY-SA 4.0. Larger faces are ordered by 2025 English Wikipedia page views, which is not a ranking used by the study.

img/short-book-graph.jpg (the Freedom of Necessity card) has two layers.

Background: Spinoza, Ethica, Part I, 1677

• Source: File:Spinoza Ethica Pars1 Prop1.jpg on Wikimedia Commons (original file).
• What it is: pages 2–3 of Ethica ordine geometrico demonstrata, Part I (De Deo), from Spinoza's Opera posthuma (Amsterdam, 1677). The Commons description reads "Spinoza's Ethica Ordine Geometrico Demonstrata, Part 1, axioms and propositions I-IV."
• Crop used: the left page, the Axiomata heading and Axioms I–II ("Omnia, quæ sunt, vel in se, vel in alio sunt."), with the ink extracted and drawn as faint sepia on near-black.
• License: public domain (published 1677). Commons credit line: http://www1.odn.ne.jp/gakuju/kyokai/spkLocator-e.html

Foreground: the book's dependency graph

Drawn from the front matter of candidates/core_v2/ in neuresthetics/freedom_of_necessity (MIT License). It has 12 entries and 33 links:

• 6 support links, from each entry's cites: list (drawn bright and solid);
• 25 definition-use links, from each entry's terms: list (drawn thin);
• 2 "explains" links (PR1 to A3 and A4), from the citation graph in candidates/core_v2/README.md (drawn dotted).

Columns follow the longest chain of dependencies, from left to right. Axioms are the brighter nodes, and A1, the root, is the brightest. Definitions are hollow circles, and the principle PR1 is a diamond.
